To make young people aware of the drug menace and to encourage them toward sport, Samvedna Society organised the Anti-Drug Cricket Tournament — Jammu Veteran League at M. A. Stadium, Jammu.
DIG JKS Range Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma launched the tournament jersey on 19 November 2025. The following day Director Tourism Jammu Dr. Vikas Gupta, JKAS, Joint Director Sh. Aijaz Qaiser, JKAS, and SP North Sh. Vivek Shekhar inaugurated the tournament. SP Rural Sh. Brijesh Sharma, JKPS, inaugurated the second day of play.
After the final on 28 November, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP President Sh. Sat Sharma and MLA Jammu East Sh. Yudhvir Sethi presented the cash prize and trophy to the winning captain. On 29 November the tournament closed with a Police versus Media cricket match, inaugurated by SSP Jammu Sh. Joginder Singh, JKPS.
Encouraging young people to take up physical games and sport is one of Samvedna Society's stated objectives, and the tournament pairs it directly with its work for a drug-free society.
