Samvedna Society has organised more than a hundred free health and eye check-up camps across Jammu and Samba. Doctors examine patients free of cost, medicines and spectacles are provided without charge, and elderly patients have been helped to undergo cataract surgery.
Camps have been run for the general public and for groups who rarely get to a clinic: police personnel at the District Police Office and Police Lines, devotees, pujaris and sewadars at Mata Bawe Wali Temple at Bahu Fort, bus drivers and conductors at the bus stand, students at Nightingale Pre-School and JK Montessorie School, members of the All India Punjab National Bank Pensioners' Association, and flood-affected families at Jogi Gate.
Alongside the camps the Society runs Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) Golden Card and ABHA registration drives — including a free mental-health check-up camp at the shelter home for the urban homeless at Bahu Fort, and a free heart check-up camp at Talab Tillo.
