A child without an Aadhaar card cannot be admitted to school, and a student without a domicile certificate can lose an admission or a scholarship. Samvedna Society treats both as education work.
The Society has run Aadhaar enrolment camps for children of Jhuggi-Jhopdi settlements and for children rescued by the District Child Protection team, so that they can be admitted to school and live a healthy life. A two-day Aadhaar enrolment camp at JK Montessorie School, Talab Tillo, enrolled 85 students, and a camp at Government School, Gandhi Nagar, was attended by the District Social Welfare Officer.
Domicile certificates have been delivered to students who needed them urgently for admission, for jobs and for scholarships. Free eye check-up camps have been held for children at Nightingale Pre-School, Rehari, and support has been extended to the Residential School for the Blind, Jammu.
